Clippers Defeat Suns, 102-92
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the host Phoenix Suns, 102-92, at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Wednesday.

While Phoenix got out to a 29-21 lead after the first quarter, Los Angeles took control with a 33-20 second quarter. In fact, that allowed them to hold the lead for the entirety of the second half, thanks to a 22-17 third quarter as well. Phoenix never got the game within a five-point margin for the final 18 minutes of play. The Clippers held the Suns to just 39 percent from the field and 27 percent from three-point range. In addition, Los Angeles recorded 11 steals while forcing 16 turnovers.

The Clippers (39-19) were led by Kawhi Leonard, who tallied 24 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Marcus Morris generated 18 points, five rebounds and three assists. Paul George collected just 11 points, four assists and three steals. Patrick Beverley accrued 11 points, five rebounds and three assists while Reggie Jackson led the bench with 12 points.

The Suns (24-35) were led by Deandre Ayton and his 25 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks. Ricky Rubio collected 18 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and three steals. Devin Booker had 14 points and 10 assists but he and Rubio combined for 11 turnovers. Mikal Bridges accumulated 10 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Both teams return to action on Friday, with Phoenix playing host to the Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles returning home to play the streaking Denver Nuggets.
