Wizards End Three-Game Slide
The Washington Wizards defeated the visiting Brooklyn Nets, 110-106, at Capital One Arena on Wednesday evening.

The Wizards got out to a great start at home, as they took a 31-17 lead after one quarter. The Wizards stayed in control through the second and led by double digits for most of the quarter, but the Nets we able to trim the deficit to 13, by halftime. The Nets came out on fire in the third and cut it to a three-point game, mid way through the quarter. The Wizards rallied ahead again, but the Nets closed the quarter strong and took an 84-81 lead into the final frame. The score stayed tight through the fourth and the contest went right down to the wire, where Jerome Robinson hit a clutch three-pointer, to put the Wizards up by two, with nine seconds left. They hit two more free throws to seal the deal and snap a three game losing streak.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 30 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals, in 39 minutes. Rui Hachimura added 17 points and four rebounds, while Davis Bertans chipped in 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal. The Wizards shot 43 percent from the field, including 15-of-39 from long range.

Meanwhile, Caris LeVert led the Nets with 34 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals, in 34 minutes. Spencer Dinwiddie added 18 points, six rebounds and three assists, while DeAndre Jordan totaled 16 points and 16 rebounds, in 30 minutes off the bench. The Nets shot 43 percent from the field, including 15-of-39 from long range.

The Nets (26-31) will look to bounce back as they take on the Hawks in Atlanta on Friday. The Wizards (21-36) head to Utah to take on the Jazz on Friday.
