Rockets Earn Fifth Straight Win
The Houston Rockets defeated the visiting Memphis Grizzlies, 140-112, at Toyota Center on Wednesday evening.

The Rockets got out to a great start at home and took a 35-17 lead after one quarter. The Grizzlies picked up the intensity in the second and managed to score 30 points in the quarter, but the Rockets scored 38, to push their lead to 26, by halftime. The Grizzlies came out with tons of energy in the third and outscored the Rockets 41-38 in the quarter, to cut it to a 23-point game heading into the fourth. The Rockets did not slip in the fourth, as they pushed their lead as high as 35, before settling on the 28-point home win. This marks the fifth straight win for the Rockets and the fourth straight loss for the Grizzlies.

Russell Westbrook led the Rockets with 33 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals, in 34 minutes. James Harden followed up with 30 points, seven rebounds, three assists and a steal, in 28 minutes. Austin Rivers added 23 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal. The Rockets shot 56 percent from the field, including 23-of-50 from long range.

Meanwhile, Dillon Brooks was the high-point man for the Grizzlies, with 22 points on 9-of-26 shooting, in 30 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas added 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Ja Morant tallied 12 points, nine assists, three rebounds and a steal. The Grizzlies shot 40 percent from the field, including 13-of-39 from long range.

The Grizzlies (28-30) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Kings on Friday. The Rockets (38-20) take on the Celtics in Boston on Saturday.
