Mavericks Defeat Spurs, 109-103
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 109-103, at AT&T Center on Wednesday.

Dallas got out to a 36-20 lead after the first quarter and that was too much for the Spurs to overcome. In fact, Dallas held the lead for all but a single minute after that first quarter. San Antonio actually grabbed a 93-92 lead with five minutes remaining but the Mavericks finished the game on a 17-10 run to prevail. The key for Dallas was their defense, recording 11 steals and nine blocks. In addition, the Spurs shot just 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range.

The Mavericks (36-23) got a triple-double from Luka Doncic, who tallied 26 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists. Kristaps Porzingis finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and three blocks. Tim Hardaway Jr dropped 17 points to along with two boards. Dorian Finney-Smith accrued 14 points, four rebounds, two steals and three blocks.

The Spurs (24-33) were led by DeMar DeRozan and his 27 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. Lonnie Walker IV accumulated 12 points, three rebounds, two assists and three blocks. Dejounte Murray generated eight points, eight rebounds and two assists. Marco Belinelli led the bench with 14 points and eight rebounds.

On deck for Dallas is a road matchup versus the Miami Heat on Friday. As for San Antonio, they're off until Saturday when they remain home to face the Orlando Magic.
