Hawks Hand Nets Third Straight Loss
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the visiting Brooklyn Nets, 141-118, at State Farm Arena on Friday evening.

The Nets got out to a good start at home and held a 36-29 lead after one quarter. The Hawks turned it around in the second, as they outscored the Nets 39-26 in the quarter, to take a six-point lead by halftime. The third quarter featured more high-scoring action, where the Hawks managed to add to their lead and take a 10-point advantage into the final frame. The Hawks kept the pressure on in the fourth and outscored the visitors by 13 points in the quarter, to end a two-game slide and hand the Nets their third straight loss.

John Collins led the Hawks with 33 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and a block, in 32 minutes. Cam Reddish added 26 points, four rebounds, a steal and a block, while Trae Young tallied 22 points, 14 assists and a steal. The Hawks shot 52 percent from the field, including 19-of-39 from long range.

Meanwhile, Spencer Dinwiddie led the Nets with 24 points, 13 assists and a steal, in 31 minutes. Joe Harris and Caris LeVert added 18 points each, while Garrett Temple tallied 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. The Nets shot 46 percent from the field, including 18-of-46 from long range.

The Nets (26-32) will look to bounce back as they take on the Heat in Miami on Saturday. The Hawks (17-43) play host to the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
