Pistons Defeat Suns, 113-111
The Detroit Pistons defeated the host Phoenix Suns, 113-111, at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday.

There were seven ties and eight lead changes in this game, as it came down to the final shot. In fact, Phoenix forced a turnover with just 1.7 seconds left but missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would have tied the game. It actually stayed within a single-digit margin for all but one minute, with neither team leading by more than 12 points. Detroit ended up recording 14 steals while winning the turnover differential, 18-10. That's evident when you see that the Pistons took 90 shots to the Suns 75.

The Pistons (20-41) were led by Derrick Rose, who tallied 31 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. Christian Wood amassed 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals. Svi Mykhailiuk totaled 13 points, four assists and three steals. Brandon Knight led the bench with 19 points, two rebounds and four assists.

The Suns (24-36) were led by Devin Booker, who collected 26 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Deandre Ayton totaled 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Ricky Rubio accumulated 16 points, six rebounds, 13 assists and two steals while Mikal Bridges had 13 points, five assists and three blocks.

Phoenix will have to play again on Saturday, remaining home to play the Golden State Warriors. As for Detroit, they remain on the road to face the Sacramento Kings on Sunday for their next fixture.
