Heat Topples Mavericks in Rollercoaster Battle, 126-118
The Miami Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 126-118, at American Airlines Arena on Friday night.

The Mavericks (36-24) and Heat (37-22) were as evenly matched as their records during the first quarter, playing to a 31-31 tie. Miami then managed to gain eight points of separation heading into halftime, but Dallas turned around in the third to eliminate its deficit and build a five-point edge going into the final period. However, the home squad roared back with a game-changing 13-0 run to open the fourth quarter, giving them the cushion they needed to secure the comeback win.

Seth Curry paced the Mavericks with 37 points, complementing them with two rebounds and two assists. Kristaps Porzingis posted a 24-point, 13-rebound double-double that also included two assists and one block. Luka Doncic produced 23 points, 10 assists and four rebounds. Tim Hardaway, Jr. contributed 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 26 points, supplementing them with five rebounds, three assists and one block. Duncan Robinson mustered 24 points, five boards, one assist and one steal. Goran Dragic and Kendrick Nunn generated matching 16-point tallies while dishing out five and three assists, respectively. Bam Adebayo furnished a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double that also included three assists and one block. Kelly Olynyk compiled 13 points, nine assists and seven boards.

The Mavericks remain on the road and visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday afternoon, while the Heat are home against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.
