Pelicans Win Big At Home
The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, 116-104, at Smoothie King Center on Friday evening.

The Pelicans got out to a great start at home and took a 43-25 lead after one quarter. They stayed strong in the second, as they pushed their lead to 22, before the Cavs cut it back to a 15-point game by halftime. The Pelicans came out strong in the third and pushed their lead up to 23 points, late in the quarter, but the Cavs closed the quarter on a 13-2 run, to make it a 12-point game heading into the fourth. The Pelicans asserted themselves once again in the fourth, pushing their lead back up to 20, as they were able to close out the home win.

Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 29 points, seven assists, six rebounds and a steal, in 33 minutes. Zion Williamson tallied 24 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Jrue Holiday added 22 points, six assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block. The Pelicans shot 54 percent from the field, including 9-of-23 from long range.

Meanwhile, Collin Sexton led the Cavs with 31 points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal, in 37 minutes. Kevin Porter Jr. added 16 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals, while Darius Garland added 15 points, three assists, two rebounds and a block. The Cavs shot 46 percent from the field, including 11-of-32 from deep.

The Cavs (17-42) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Pacers on Saturday. The Pelicans (26-33) play host to the Lakers on Sunday.
