Magic Topples Timberwolves, 136-125
The Orlando Magic defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 136-125, at Amway Center on Friday night.

The Magic (27-32) had trouble shaking a feisty Timberwolves (17-41) squad early, as the two teams emerged from the first quarter in a 35-35 deadlock. Orlando managed to forge a four-point lead by intermission and added another three points to their advantage going into the final period, during which their 14-7 run over the first 3:52 gained some much-needed separation.

D'Angelo Russell led the Timberwolves with 28 points, complementing them with seven assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block. Juancho Hernangomez posted an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double that also included five assists, two steals and one block. Malik Beasley and James Johnson poured in 17 points apiece while pulling down four rebounds and dishing out four assists, respectively. Josh Okogie produced 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Terrance Ross paced the Magic with 33 points, supplementing them with five boards, three assists and two steals. Nikola Vucevic turned in 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and one block. Aaron Gordon supplied a 17-point, 12-assist, 11-rebound triple-double that also included two blocks. Markelle Fultz registered 14 points, seven assists, three rebounds and one steal. D.J. Augustin and Evan Fournier tallied 12 and 11 points, respectively, while also recording three assists.

The Timberwolves head back home to face the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon, while the Magic visit the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.
