Kings Edge Grizzlies, 104-101
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 104-101, at FedEx Forum on Friday night.

The Kings (25-34) didn't exactly get off to a start that foreshadowed the final result, as they saw the Grizzlies (28-31) take a 30-21 first-quarter lead. However, Sacramento came roaring back in the second to take a three-point lead into halftime, and they added another three points to their advantage heading into the fourth quarter. Memphis subsequently got as close as 102-101 with 10.9 seconds left, but Buddy Hield's two free throws with 4.4 seconds left helped seal the victory for the visitors.

De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 25 points, complementing them with five assists, four rebounds and two steals. Harry Giles II delivered 16 points, five boards, two assists, one steal and one block. Hield finished with 14 points, four boards, two assists and one steal. Nemanja Bjelica and Kent Bazemore poured in 13 points each, with Bjelica adding 11 rebounds.

Dillon Brooks paced the Grizzlies with 32 points. Ja Morant generated a 20-point, 11-assist double-double that also included three rebounds. Jonas Valanciunas posted a 13-point, 25-rebound double-double that also featured two blocks. De'Anthony Melton supplied 10 points, six rebounds and six assists.

The Kings return home to tangle with the Detroit Pistons on Sunday evening, while the Grizzlies remain home and face the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night.
