Bulls Comeback to Defeat Grizzlies, 110-102
The Chicago Bulls defeated the host Memphis Grizzlies, 110-102, at FedEx Forum on Friday.

While Memphis had a 13-point lead at the half and led for all but three minutes, this game came down to the wire. In fact, all five lead changes occurred in the final five minutes. Chicago ended up prevailing, outscoring Memphis in the second half, 63-42. The Bulls defense was critical, recording 14 steals while winning the turnover differential, 18-13. They also forced the Grizzlies to shoot 41 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range. In addition, Chicago outscored Memphis in fastbreak points, 27-16.

The Bulls (1-1) got a gem from Zach LaVine, who finished with 37 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals. No other starter reached double figures but Lauri Markkanen did total nine points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Coby White led the bench with 25 points, six rebounds and two assists on 10-of-16 from the field.

The Grizzlies (0-2) were led by Jaren Jackson Jr, amassing 23 points, 11 rebounds and two assists, Jae Crowder accrued 13 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Jonas Valanciunas amassed 10 points and 13 boards while Ja Morant accumulated 10 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals. Brandon Clarke led the bench with 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks.

The Bulls will have to play again on Saturday when they play host to the Toronto Raptors. The Grizzlies return to action on Sunday in a home match versus the Brooklyn Nets.
