Timberwolves Roll Hornets, 121-99
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Charlotte Hornets, 121-99, at Spectrum Center on Friday.

While there were six ties and nine lead changes in the first half, Minnesota took control in the second half. In fact, a 45-25 third quarter really put the game out of hand, allowing the Timberwolves to lead by at least 15 points for the final 15 minutes. Minnesota ended up outrebounding Charlotte, 52-42. The assist-to-turnover ratio was also critical, with with the T'Wolves out-assisting the Hornets, 30-26 while winning the turnover battle, 19-15. Minnesota also outscored Charlotte in the paint, 56-44.

The Timberwolves (2-0) got a sparkling performance from Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 37 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and two blocks on 13-of-18 from the field. Andrew Wiggins accrued 16 points, four rebounds and two assists. Josh Okogie led the bench with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.

The Hornets (1-1) were led by Devonte' Graham, who provided 24 points, two rebounds and four assists off the bench. P.J. Washington amassed 10 points and 10 boards while Terry Rozier totaled 11 points and 10 assists in just 17 minutes. Miles Bridges led the starters in scoring, finishing with 17 points and two rebounds.

Both teams return to action on Sunday, with Charlotte traveling to face the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota playing host to the Miami Heat.
