Rockets Edge Celtics In Overtime
The Houston Rockets defeated the host Boston Celtics, 111-110, at TD Garden on Saturday evening.

The Rockets barley edged the Celtics in overtime, to earn their sixth straight win. The Celtics got out to a great start at home, with a 28-19 lead after one quarter. They kept the momentum going and pushed their lead to 17, mid way through the second, but the Rockets brought it back to an 11-point game by halftime. The Rockets came out on fire in the third and outscored the hosts 36-22 in the quarter, to take a three-point lead into the final frame. The Rockets kept the edge through the fourth, until Jaylen Brown hit a last-second three, to tie the game at 104, at the end of regulation. The score stayed close through the overtime period. The Rockets took a one-point advantage thanks to a couple of free throws with 24 seconds left, while Jaylen Brown missed on his second game-saving shot of the night, allowing the Rockets to escape with the road win.

Russell Westbrook led the Rockets with 41 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals, in 43 minutes. James Harden addled 21 points, eight assists, four rebounds and three steals, while Robert Covington tallied 16 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks and a steal. The Rockets shot 42 percent from the field, including 15-of-55 from long range.

Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 32 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks, in 44 minutes. Marcus Smart added 26 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals, while Jaylen Brown tallied 22 points, five rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

The Celtics (41-18) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Nets on Tuesday. The Rockets (39-20) take on the Knicks in New York on Monday.
