Lakers Defeat Suns, 125-100
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the visiting Phoenix Suns, 125-100, at Staples Center on Monday.

While there were four ties and 18 lead changes in the first quarter, Los Angeles won all four individual quarters in this game. In fact, the Lakers won each of the final three quarters by at least six points apiece, holding a double-digit lead for the final 19 minutes of action. Los Angeles ended up shooting 52 percent from the field and 38 percent from three-point range while holding Phoenix to 45 percent from the field and 36 percent from long range. In addition, the Lakers out-rebounded the Suns, 59-29.

The Suns (21-33) were led by Mikal Bridges and his 18 points, six rebounds and three assists. Devin Booker shot just 2-of-11 from the field to amass 10 points, four rebounds and five assists. Cheick Diallo generated 15 points, four rebounds and three assists while Ricky Rubio accumulated 13 points, three rebounds and five assists.

The Lakers (40-12) were led by Anthony Davis, who tallied 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. LeBron James collected 17 points, eight rebounds and nine assists but committed eight turnovers and went just 6-of-16 from the field. Rajon Rondo led the bench with 23 points, four rebounds and six assists. Dwight Howard also provided 14 points and 15 rebounds off the bench as well.

On deck for Los Angeles is a road matchup versus the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. As for Phoenix, they return home to play the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday for their next fixture.
