Magic Outlasts Hawks, 135-126
The Orlando Magic defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 135-126, at Amway Center on Monday night.

The Hawks (15-40) checked into the contest fresh off a double-overtime marathon against the Knicks on Sunday, but they still had enough spring in their step to take an early 28-22 lead through the first 12 minutes. Both squads picked up the pace on the offensive end in the second, but Atlanta still led the Magic (23-31) by five points at intermission. Orlando wouldn't go away, however, making a two-point dent in their deficit in the third quarter before outscoring the visitors, 42-30, in the final period. As the final score implies, both team shot extremely well, with the Hawks' 53.4 percent success rate just edging their hosts' 52.6 percent figure.

Trae Young paced the Hawks with 29 points, complementing them with nine assists and one rebound. John Collins delivered 22 points, eight boards, two assists and one block. Dewayne Dedmon turned in 14 points, nine boards, one assist and two blocks. Kevin Huerter registered 12 points, seven assists and two rebounds. Cam Reddish and De'Andre Hunter went for 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Aaron Gordon led the Magic with 26 points, adding nine rebounds, four assists and one block. Nikola Vucevic compiled 24 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and one block. Evan Fournier supplied 22 points, three rebounds, two steals and one block. Terrence Ross poured in 21 points. Markelle Fultz finished with 13 points, eight assists, one rebound and three steals.

The Hawks next pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, while the Magic remain home and take on the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night as well.
