Nuggets Defeat Spurs, 127-120
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting San Antonio Spurs, 127-120, at Pepsi Center on Monday.

While San Antonio held the lead for the first 40 minutes of this game, Denver was able to prevail. In fact, the Nuggets outscored the Spurs 36-26, in the third quarter and 38-27 in the fourth quarter to complete their comeback. That allowed Denver to overcome a 23-point deficit in the third quarter, going on a 15-0 run late in the fourth to get them a game-high 10-point lead with just three minutes remaining. Denver ended up shooting 56 percent from the field and 51 percent from three-point range while out-blocking San Antonio, 7-1.

The Spurs (22-31) were led by LaMarcus Aldridge, who tallied 33 points, six rebounds and five assists. Dejounte Murray accrued 14 points, six rebounds and nine assists. Bryn Forbes collected 14 points, three rebounds and four assists. Derrick White led the bench with 15 points, two rebounds and four assists. Rudy Gay and Patty Mills reached double figures in scoring off the bench too.

The Nuggets (38-16) were led by Jamal Murray, who amassed 26 points, two rebounds and six assists. Nikola Jokic accumulated 19 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists. Paul Millsap led the bench with 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Monte' Morris also provided 16 points and four assists off the bench as well.

San Antonio has to play yet another road game on Tuesday, playing the Oklahoma City Thunder. As for Denver, they return to action on Wednesday in a home matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.
