Spurs Defeat Jazz, 113-104
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the host Utah Jazz, 113-104, at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Friday.

San Antonio got out to a strong start with a 27-21 first quarter and put the game to bed with a 38-25 second quarter. In fact, that gave them a 19-point halftime lead thanks to a 17-0 run and Utah could never get the game to within a nine-point margin after that monster deficit. The Spurs went 10-of-20 from three-point range and 23-of-26 from the free-throw line while the Jazz connected on just 12-of-33 from long range. In addition. San Antonio recorded 12 steals and seven blocks while winning the turnover differential, 17-6.

The Spurs (24-31) were led by Dejounte Murray and his 23 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. DeMar DeRozan accumulated 18 points, five rebounds and seven assists. LaMarcus Aldridge generated 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists while Patty Mills led the bench with 15 points. Derrick White also provided 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals off the pine as well.

The Jazz (36-19) were led by Rudy Gobert, who tallied 18 points, 14 rebounds and two assists. Donovan Mitchell went just 5-of-14 from the field to finish with 12 points and four assists. Bojan Bogdanovic amassed 15 points and six rebounds on 3-of-13 shooting. Joe Ingles accrued eight points, three rebounds and seven assists. Emmanuel Mudiay led the bench with 18 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Utah will have to play again on Saturday, remaining home to face the Houston Rockets. As for San Antonio, they're off until Sunday when they stay on the road to face the Oklahoma City Thunder.
