The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Washington Wizards in overtime, 137-134, at Fiserv Forum on Monday night.

The Bucks (49-8) likely came into the contest with a healthy dose of confidence, considering they'd put up 151 points on the Wizards in a 20-point victory the first time the two teams met this season, and accomplished it without Giannis Antetokounmpo available. Milwaukee was at full strength Monday, but they had some trouble completely shaking off a determined Wizards (20-36) squad through three quarters. The visitors did hold a 13-point lead entering the extra period, but a 22-10 run by Washington over the final 5:35 of regulation forced overtime. In the extra period, the home team was within one point with 15.4 seconds remaining before Khris Middleton drained a pair of free throws and Troy Brown, Jr. missed a would-be, game-tying three-pointer with under a second remaining to send the visitors home winners.

Middleton led the Bucks with 40 points, complementing them with five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Eric Bledsoe generated a 23-point, 10-assist double-double that also included seven rebounds. Antetokounmpo posted 22 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and one block. George Hill delivered 14 points, two assists and one steal. Donte DiVincenzo turned in 12 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Robin Lopez and Wesley Matthews supplied 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Bradley Beal surpassed the career high in scoring he'd just established in his previous game, pouring in 55 points to lead the Wizards. Shabazz Napier compiled 27 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals. Ish Smith furnished 13 points, seven assists, two rebounds and two steals. Rui Hachimura pitched in 12 points, four boards, two assists and one steal. Ian Mahinmi managed 10 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal.

The Bucks next travel to face the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night, while the Wizards are home versus the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
