Mavericks Defeat T'Wolves, 139-123
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 139-123, at American Airlines Center on Monday.

A 41-27 first quarter really set the tone for Dallas in this game, winning in wire-to-wire fashion. In fact, they led by at least nine points for the final three quarters, getting their lead all the way up to 25 points. Dallas ended up out-rebounding Minnesota, 54-42, while out-assisting them, 28-16. In addition, the Mavericks shot 51 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range while holding the Timberwolves to 44 percent from the field and 36 percent from long range.

The Timberwolves (16-40) were led by D'Angelo Russell, who tallied 28 points, three rebounds and five assists. Malik Beasley accrued 21 points and four rebounds. No other starter had more than eight points, five rebounds or two assists. James Johnson led the bench with 19 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

The Mavericks (35-23) were led by Tim Hardaway Jr, who amassed 23 points and four rebounds. Luka Doncic collected 20 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Kristaps Porzingis totaled 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Delon Wright led the bench with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday, with Minnesota remaining on the road to face the Miami Heat and Dallas traveling to play the San Antonio Spurs.
