Clippers Crush Grizzlies In L.A.
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the visiting Memphis Grizzlies, 124-97, at Staples Center on Monday evening.

The Clippers came out on fire and took a 40-14 lead after one quarter. Action slowed down in the second, but the Clippers maintained control and outscored the visitors by three points in the quarter, to push their lead to 29, by halftime. The Grizzlies came out much better in the third quarter and managed to trim the deficit to 24, heading into the final frame. The Clippers took no chances, as they came out with a purpose in the fourth and pushed their lead to 37, before settling on the 27-point home win.

Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals, in 25 minutes. Montrezl Harrell added 22 points, three rebounds and two blocks, while JaMychal Green finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, a block and a steal. The Clippers shot 50 percent from the field, including 16-of-37 from long range.

Meanwhile, Ja Morant was the high-point man for the Grizzlies with 16 points, in 27 minutes. Gorgui Dieng finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and a steal, while Josh Jackson chipped in 14 points, five rebounds and two blocks, in 26 minutes off the bench. The Grizzlies shot 42 percent from the field, including 7-of-27 from long range.

The Grizzlies (28-29) will look to bounce back as they take on the Rockets in Houston on Wednesday. The Clippers (38-19) take on the Suns in Phoenix on Wednesday.
