Lakers Defeat Heat in Game 2, 124-114, Up 2-0 in Series
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami heat, 124-114, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals in Orlando on Friday.

Los Angeles led for all but two minutes of this game, leading by at least eight points for the entirety of the second half. In fact, they led by six points at the end of the first quarter and carried a 14-point lead into the half. The only major differential in the stat sheet was the offensive rebounding, with the Lakers winning that battle, 16-6. Both clubs actually shot 51 percent from the field in this offensive showdown. Los Angeles was able to prevail despite going 10-of-17 from the free-throw line while Miami hit 31-of-34.

The Lakers (2-0) were led by LeBron James, who tallied 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Anthony Davis generated 32 points and 14 rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists as the only other starter in double figures. Rajon Rondo led the bench with 16 points, four rebounds and 10 assists.

The Heat (0-2) had to play this game without Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic but Jimmy Butler still led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists. Tyler Herro amassed 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Jae Crowder totaled 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Kelly Olynyk was a nice spark off the bench, providing 24 points, nine rebounds and two assists,

Game 3 will be played on Sunday.
