Celtics Survive, Secure Road Win Over Thunder
The Boston Celtics defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 112-111, at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Celtics (37-15) and the Thunder (32-21) played a tightly contested affair between two likely playoff squads and the final score reflected that, as this game was decided by just one point. The Thunder grabbed the lead in the first quarter by a 32-28 score and further extended their lead by the time the first half ended, since they were up by nine points following a 29-24 score. However, Boston turned things around and posted a 32-23 third-quarter score that evened the contest up with just 12 minutes to go. The final 12 minutes were an absolute thriller, but the Celtics came out on top with a 28-27 fourth quarter. They held on every time Oklahoma City tried to flip the score in the final seconds. With the win, Boston moved to 15-10 on the road while the Thunder fell to 17-11 at home.

Only five Celtics scored in double digits here, but all of them were part of the starting lineup. Kemba Walker led the way with 27 points and four rebounds, while Jayson Tatum chipped in with 26 points and 11 boards. Jaylen Brown contributed 17 points, three rebounds and two assists. Gordon Hayward had a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Daniel Theis did the same thing, as he finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds and five dimes.

The same thing happened with the Thunder as they had only four players scoring in double digits, but all of them contributed 20 points or more. Danilo Gallinari had 24 points and five rebounds, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander chipped with 24 points, six boards and four dimes. Chris Paul filled the stat sheet with 22 points, five boards and five assists. Dennis Schroder added 22 points, seven rebounds and one assist off the bench.
