Grizzlies Complete Comeback On The Road
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the host Washington Wizards, 106-99, at Capital One Arena on Sunday evening.

The Wizards got out to a great start at home and took a a 30-18 lead after one quarter. The Grizzlies came out stronger in the second and tied it up halfway through the quarter, but the Wizards pulled ahead again, to take an eight-point lead into halftime. The Grizzlies came out strong in the third and chipped away to make it a five-point game, heading into the final frame. They carried the momentum into the fourth and used an 11-2 run early in the quarter to pull ahead with five minutes left in the contest. They kept the clamps down on defense an held the Wizards to just 14 points in the quarter, to come out with an impressive road win.

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and a block, in 35 minutes. Jaren Jackson Jr. added 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Jonas Valanciunas totaled eight points, 18 rebounds and two blocks. The Grizzlies shot 42 percent from the field, including 5-of-32 from deep.

Meanwhile, Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 26 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, in 34 minutes. Rui Hachimura tallied 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Moritz Wagner added 19 points, nine rebound and, two assists, off the bench. The Wizards shot 35 percent from the field, including 7-of-33 from long range.

The Wizards (18-33) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Bulls on Tuesday. The Grizzlies (27-26) play host to the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
