Trail Blazers Defeat Heat, 115-109
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the visiting Miami Heat, 115-109, at Moda Center on Sunday.

Portland led for all but a few minutes in this game, winning each of the first three quarters. In fact, the Trail Blazers led by 10 points heading into the final quarter and never relinquished the lead from there. Portland ended up shooting 47 percent from the field and 45 percent from three-point range while holding Miami to 40 percent from the field and 41 percent from long distance. The Trail Blazers starters dominated the Heat starters, outscoring them, 93-58.

The Heat (34-18) were led by Goran Dragic, who came off the bench to provide 27 points, four rebounds and seven assists. Duncan Robinson led the starters with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists. Bam Adebayo collected 13 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks. Jae Crowder made his Miami debut and totaled 18 points and 11 boards.

The Trail Blazers (25-29) were led by Damian Lillard and his 33 points, four rebounds and eight assists. Trevor Ariza amassed 21 points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals, Carmelo Anthony accrued 15 points, six rebounds and two assists. C.J. McCollum had 13 points, four rebounds and three assists while Hassan Whiteside tallied 11 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks. Gary Trent Jr was their only bench player to score, providing 22 points, four rebounds and four steals.

Miami has to play again on Monday, remaining on the road to face the Golden State Warriors. As for Portland, they return to action on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans,
