Hawks and Cavaliers Connect in Midwest Showdown
The Atlanta Hawks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

The Hawks (15-40) check into Wednesday's contest in the midst of another spiral, as they've dropped four of their last six games. Their most recent time on the court resulted in one of those losses, as Atlanta dropped a 135-126 decision to the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Trae Young paced the Hawks with 29 points, complementing them with nine assists and one rebound. John Collins delivered 22 points, eight boards, two assists and one block. Dewayne Dedmon turned in 14 points, nine boards, one assist and two blocks. Kevin Huerter registered 12 points, seven assists and two rebounds. Cam Reddish and De'Andre Hunter went for 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Hawks will continue without Clint Capela (heel) and Skal Labissiere (ankle) for Wednesday's game. DeAndre' Bembry (hand) will be listed as questionable, while De'Andre Hunter (ankle) will carry a probable tag.

The Cavaliers (13-40) come into Wednesday's game in even poorer shape than their opponent, as they've dropped six consecutive games. Their most recent debacle was a notable one, as they dropped a 133-92 decision to the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday evening. Andre Drummond made his Cavaliers debut and led the team with a 19-point, 14-rebound double-double that also included three assists, two steals and one block. Kevin Porter, Jr. furnished 17 points, four boards, three assists and one steal. Collin Sexton registered 13 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Kevin Love managed 10 points, nine boards, two assists and one steal.

The Cavaliers will list Love (Achilles) as questionable for Wednesday's game, while Ante Zizic (illness) will remain out.

Wednesday's game marks the second of four meetings between the teams this season. The Cavaliers hold a 1-0 series lead, having notched a 121-118 win Dec. 23.
