Pistons and Magic Battle in Sunshine State
The Detroit Pistons take on the Orlando Magic at Amway Center on Wednesday night.

The Pistons (19-37) have found victories especially difficult to come by of late, as they've dropped three in a row, and nine of their last 11 contests overall. Their most recent stumble came in a low-scoring slugfest against the Charlotte Hornets, which toppled them by an 87-76 score Monday night. Thon Maker paced the Pistons with a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included one assist, two blocks and one steal. Bruce Brown followed with 10 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Christian Wood and Markieff Morris generated matching 10-point tallies, with Wood also hauling in eight rebounds.

The Pistons will list Derrick Rose (hip) and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (hip) as probable for Wednesday's game. Luke Kennard (knee) and Khyri Thomas (foot) will remain out.

The Magic (23-31) are in no better shape than their opponent, as they've posted a 2-8 mark over their last 10 games. Their most recent time in the court did result in a victory, however, as Orlando toppled the Atlanta Hawks by a 135-126 score Monday night. Aaron Gordon led the Magic with 26 points, adding nine rebounds, four assists and one block. Nikola Vucevic compiled 24 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and one block. Evan Fournier supplied 22 points, three rebounds, two steals and one block. Terrence Ross poured in 21 points. Markelle Fultz finished with 13 points, eight assists, one rebound and three steals.

The Magic will continue without D.J. Augustin (knee) and Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) for Wednesday's game.

Wednesday's game marks the second of three meetings between the teams this season. The Pistons hold a 1-0 series lead, having notched a 103-88 win Nov. 25.
