Grizzlies Defeat Jazz in Game 1, 112-109
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the host Utah Jazz, 112-109, in Game 1 of the Western Conference First-Round Playoffs at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Sunday.

This Game 1 was full of swings, with Utah leading by 14 in the second quarter and Memphis taking a game-high 17-point lead in the fourth quarter. Memphis actually led 97-82 with eight minutes remaining but Utah's late-game run was simply not enough. With that said, there were 12 lead changes in total, despite the fact that the Grizzlies held the lead for the entirety of the second half after a 32-19 second quarter. Memphis tripled up Utah in steals, 12-4. In addition, the Grizzlies shot 46 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range while holding the Jazz to 42 percent from the field and 26 percent from long range.

The Grizzlies (1-0) were led by Dillon Brooks, tallying 31 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Ja Morant accrued 26 points, four rebounds and four assists, Jonas Valanciunas had 15 points, 13 rebounds and three assists while Kyle Anderson amassed 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and six steals.

The Jazz (0-1) were led by Bojan Bogdanovic, who scored all 29 of his points in the second half. Mike Conley collected 22 points, six rebounds, 11 assists and two blocks. Rudy Gobert generated 11 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks. Jordan Clarkson led the bench with 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Game 2 will be in Utah on Wednesday.
