Hawks Silence Knicks In Game 1
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the host New York Knicks, 107-105, in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at Madison Square Garden on Sunday evening.

The Hawks got out to a strong start with a, 24-16, lead after one quarter. They stayed strong to start the second, but the Knicks rallied to cut it to a two-point game by halftime. The game slowed down in the third, where the Hawks held the lead most of the way until the Knicks used a, 10-5, run to close the quarter and take a two-point lead into the final frame. The score stayed close the rest of the way and was tied at 105, after Derrick Rose hit a clutch shot with nine seconds left on the clock. However, Trae Young came up huge to lift the Hawks with a last-second floater for the win and the, 1-0, series lead.

Young led the Hawks with 32 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in 35 minutes. Bogdan Bogdanovic followed up with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Lou Williams chipped in 13 points and two assists off the bench. The Hawks shot 47 percent from the field, including 12-of-34 from deep.

Meanwhile, Alec Burks led the Knicks with 27 points, four assists and three rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench. Julius Randle followed up with 15 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, while R.J. Barrett added 14 points and 11 rebounds. The Knicks shot 45 percent from the field, including 10-of-30 from long range.

Game 2 will take place in New York on Wednesday.
