Nico Mannion
No official decision on draft yet
March 15, 2020
Mannion's father, Pace, said last weekend that his son has yet to officially decide whether to enter the 2020 NBA Draft or return to Arizona for his sophomore season, Sam Vecenie of The Athletic reports.
Coach Sean Miller previously suggested following the Wildcats' loss to Washington in the regular-season finale that Mannion would enter the draft following the postseason, but the freshman point guard is apparently still evaluating his options. While Mannion would likely project as a first-round selection if he moved on from Arizona, he may entertain a return to the Wildcats if he feels the move could improve his stock in the 2021 draft. Mannion averaged 14.0 points, 5.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.2 steals in 32.3 minutes for the Wildcats this season, but his efficiency from the field (39.2 percent) and distance (32.7 percent) left much to be desired.
