Carey announced Tuesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to join Georgetown as a graduate transfer.
ANALYSIS
The addition of Carey is a nice score for a Hoyas program that has lost several key players to the transfer portal and graduation since the start of the 2019-20. Georgetown will mark the third Division I stop of Carey's career after he spent one active season apiece at Mount St. Mary's and Siena, with a redshirt year in 2018-19 in between them. As a redshirt sophomore last season, Carey started in 28 of 30 games for the Saints and averaged 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 31.4 minutes per contest. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining at Georgetown and is able to compete immediately.
