Wizards Crush Pacers In Play-In
The Washington Wizards defeated the visiting Indiana Pacers, 142-115, at Capital One Arena on Thursday evening.

Six players scored in double digits for the Wizards to complete the dominant win and earn the final playoff spot in the East by winning the final play-in game. The contest got out to a tight start as the Wizards led, 30-29, after one quarter. They pulled away in the second where they outscored the Pacers by 13 points, to take a 14-point lead into the break. They carried the momentum into the third and outscored the visitors, 48-31, in the quarter to take full control with a 31-point lead heading into the final frame. The Pacers had no answers in the fourth, as the Wizards held on and cruised to the crucial win.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 25 points, five rebounds, four assists and a block, in 28 minutes. Russell Westbrook added 18 points, 15 assists, eight rebounds and a steal, while Daniel Gafford totaled 15 points, 13 rebounds, five blocks and a steal. The Wizards shot 58 percent from the field, including 14-of-28 from long range.

Meanwhile, Malcolm Brogdon led the Pacers with 24 points, four assists, two rebounds and a steal, in 28 minutes. Domantas Sabonis totaled 19 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals, while Doug McDermott and Kelan Martin chipped in 13 points each. The Pacers shot 41 percent from the field, including 15-of-41 from deep.

This marks the end of the season for the Pacers, while the Wizards will go on to face the Sixers in the first round of the playoffs.
