Clippers Topple Hornets, 113-90
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 113-90, at Spectrum Center on Thursday night.

The Clippers (47-23) came into Thursday with incentive to keep winning in order to hold on to the No. 3 seed, but the Hornets (33-37) were looking to preserve their No. 8 spot in their own right. The two incentivized squads played a rollercoaster first half that saw Charlotte erase an eight-point first-quarter deficit and build a three-point halftime lead. However, Los Angeles came out of intermission hot and never let up, The visitors would go on to rack up 69 second-half points while limiting the home squad to just 43, including 13 in the final 12 minutes.

Paul George led the Clippers with a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double that also included six assists and one steal. Reggie Jackson provided 19 points, three rebounds, three assists and one block. Kawhi Leonard turned in 16 points, nine assists. three rebounds and one steal. Marcus Morris poured in 15 points. Ivica Zubac mustered eight points, 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

LaMelo Ball paced the Hornets with 18 points, supplementing them with seven assists, six rebounds and two steals. Bismack Biyombo delivered 13 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Jalen McDaniels, Terry Rozier and Cody Zeller all generated matching 10-point tallies, with Rozier also dishing out five assists and Zeller pulling down six rebounds.

The Clippers remain on the road and visit the Houston Rockets on Friday night, while the Hornets hit the road and visit the New York Knicks on Saturday afternoon.
