Suns Outpace Timberwolves, 125-109
The Phoenix Suns defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 125-109, at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Monday night.

The battle of two of the fastest-paced teams in the league fittingly featured a combined 125 points in the first half, with the Timberwolves (10-13) owning a 64-61 lead over the Suns (11-12) at intermission. However, Phoenix would change the tenor of the game in the third quarter by outscoring Minnesota, 33-21, and their continued offensive barrage over the final 12 minutes helped ensure victory.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with a 33-point, 15-rebound double-double that also included two assists and two blocks. Andrew Wiggins provided 23 points, four rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Jeff Teague led the bench with 16 points. Josh Okogie posted eight points, two rebounds and two steals.

Devin Booker paced the Suns with 26 points, supplementing them with seven assists, four rebounds and one block. Kelly Oubre, Jr. followed with 24 points, four rebounds and one block. Dario Saric supplied 20 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal. Ricky Rubio generated a 16-point, 14-assist double-double that also included four rebounds. Aron Baynes and Cameron Johnson contributed 12- and 10-point tallies while pulling down four and five rebounds, respectively.

The Timberwolves head back home to face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, while the Suns remain home and take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night as well.
