Trail Blazers Defeat Bulls, 107-103
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the visiting Chicago Bulls, 107-103, at Moda Center on Friday.

While there were only two ties and seven lead changes in this game, it stayed within a 10-point margin for all but a handful of minutes. With that said, the Trail Blazers led for the final 10 minutes of play. Portland's defense was critical, holding Chicago to 38 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range. In addition, the Trail Blazers recorded 11 blocks to the Bulls two while winning the points off turnover battle, 18-3. The Portland starters outscored the Chicago starters by 20 points as well.

The Bulls (6-14) were led by Zach LaVine, who tallied 28 points, six rebounds and five assists. Wendell Carter Jr amassed 16 points and nine boards. Lauri Markkanen accrued 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists while Tomas Satoransky collected 12 points, three rebounds and eight assists. Coby White led the bench with 13 points and four boards.

The Trail Blazers (8-12) got a near triple-double from Hassan Whiteside, who accumulated eight points, 15 rebounds and 10 blocks. Damian Lillard led the team in scoring, amassing 28 points, two rebounds and six assists. C.J. McCollum totaled 20 points, seven rebounds and two assists while Carmelo Anthony generated 23 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

Chicago returns to action on Monday, staying on the road to face the Sacramento Kings. As for Portland, they're off until Tuesday when they face the Los Angeles Clippers on the road.
