The Indiana Pacers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 104-99, at Target Center on Wednesday night.

The Pacers (26-15) came into the contest with a big advantage record-wise against the Timberwolves (15-25), but Minnesota was the hotter shooting team to open the game. The hosts built a 30-24 lead through the first 12 minutes, and they still boasted a five-point edge at halftime. However, Indiana would turn the game around in the second half, outscoring the T-Wolves by a 50-40 margin over the final pair of quarters to secure the road win.

Domantas Sabonis led the Pacers with 29 points, adding 13 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block. Malcolm Brogdon supplied 21 points, six boards and six assists. Doug McDermott tallied 14 points, two boards, two assists and one steal. T.J. Warren delivered 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal. Jeremy Lamb managed nine points, six rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Jarrett Culver paced the Timberwolves with 17 points, complementing them with five boards, one assist, two steals and one block. Gorgui Dieng generated a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double that also included three assists and one block. Keita Bates-Diop matched Dieng's scoring tally and also pulled down six rebounds and dished out three assists. Robert Covington registered 14 points, seven boards, two steals and one block. Andrew Wiggins contributed 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

The Pacers and Timberwolves will reconvene on Friday night in Indiana for the second game of the back-to-back set.
