Nets Host Celtics In Game 1 Of First-Round
The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at Barclays Center on Saturday evening.

The Nets finished the season in the second spot in the East, while the Celtics finished in seventh place but still had to defeat the Wizards in a play-in game to maintain the position. The Nets defeated the Celtics all three times they matched up during the season, once in Boston and twice in Brooklyn.

The Nets are set to have their three superstars in the lineup, which is a privilege they did not have for much of the season. Harden only played 36 games but averaged 24.6 points, 10.9 assists, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals during the season, including an impressive stretch where he carried the team while Durant and Kyrie were both sidelined. On the other hand Durant only played 35 games but averaged 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game. Kyrie Irving played 54 games and averaged 26.9 points, 6.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals, in 35 minutes per game. Throughout the injuries and ups and downs, Joe Harris remained a consistent factor in the Nets' offense, as he averaged 14.1 points while shooting 47.5 percent from long range. The Nets averaged 118.6 points per game during the season, which was second most in the league, and they shot a league-best 49.4 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, the Celtics also dealt with injury trouble through the season, but they are unfortunately still missing one of their top three players, as Jaylen Brown (wrist) remains out for the season. On a positive note, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker have both been playing great lately, as Tatum is averaging 33.4 points and 8.0 rebounds over his last five games, and Walker is averaging 29.6 points and 3.8 assists over his last five games.
