Hornets and Nets Tangle In Battle of High-Octane Offenses
The Charlotte Hornets take on the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Wednesday night.

The Hornets (10-16) have been struggling for consistency the majority of the season, and accordingly, they'll come into Wednesday's contest having dropped four of their last six games. However, one of their two wins during that stretch came their last time on the floor, as they toppled the Washington Wizards by a 114-107 score Tuesday night. Devonte' Graham led the Hornets with 29 points, adding six assists, one rebound, two steals and one block. Terry Rozier supplied 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal. Miles Bridges furnished 16 points, three assists, two rebounds and two blocks. P.J. Washington turned in 15 points, four rebounds and three assists. Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo generated 14-point, 10-rebound and 13-point, 15-rebound double-doubles, respectively.

The Hornets will likely list Nicolas Batum (hand) and Marvin Williams (knee) as questionable at best for Wednesday's game.

The Nets (13-10) have been one of the hottest teams in the league over the last several weeks, as they'll come into Wednesday's game with an 8-2 mark over their last 10 games. Their most recent success came at the expense of the Denver Nuggets, which they defeated by a 105-102 score Sunday afternoon. Spencer Dinwiddie led the way with 24 points, adding eight assists and four rebounds. Jarrett Allen posted a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double that also included two assists and one steal. Garrett Temple supplied 15 points, six boards, three assists and one steal. Joe Harris poured in 13 points and also posted four boards and three assists.

The Nets will be without Kyrie Irving (shoulder), Caris LeVert (thumb), Wilson Chandler (suspension) and Nicolas Claxton (hamstring) for Wednesday's game. Iman Shumpert (knee) will be considered doubtful.

Wednesday's game marks the third of four meetings between the teams this season. The Nets own a 2-0 series lead, having notched 101-91 and 111-104 victories on Nov. 20 and Dec. 6, respectively.
