DraftKings Fantasy Soccer: Tuesday-Wednesday UCL Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings Fantasy Soccer series.

MATCHES (EDT)

Tuesday, 2:45 p.m: Real Madrid v. Bayern Munich
Wednesday, 2:45 p.m: Roma v. Liverpool

FORWARDS

Cristiano Ronaldo, RMD v. BAY ($11,200): Ronaldo didn't have many opportunities at Bayern Munich in the first leg, but Real Madrid still managed to earn a 2-1 win. It was the first time in 12 UCL games that Ronaldo failed to score a goal, and with a spot in the biggest game in club football on the line, I think Ronaldo makes no mistake and gets back on the scoresheet.

Robert Lewandowski, BAY v. RMD ($7,900): Having gone four straight Champions League games without a goal, Lewandowski's price is as low as we've seen it all season. He managed to bang out four shots in the first leg, and with Bayern down 2-1 heading into the second leg, they'll need at least two goals to make things interesting. I probably wouldn't risk it in cash, but Lewandowski makes for a great GPP play at this price.

Edin Dzeko, ROM v. LIV ($7,500): Dzeko scored a vital away goal at Liverpool in the first leg, marking his fourth consecutive Champions League game with a goal. Roma are down 5-2 heading into the second leg, so they have no other option than to push for goals from the opening whistle. Look for Dzeko to see multiple opportunities come his way as Roma try to pull off the unthinkable once again.

MIDFIELDERS

James Rodriguez, BAY v. RMD ($7,000): James contributed an assist to finish with 17.50 points in the first leg. He's swung in eight crosses in each of his last two UCL appearances, and with Bayern chasing the series we can expect him to be active once again.

Radja Nainggolan, ROM v. LIV ($5,600): Nainggolan has a goal and three assists over his last three outings, including an assist on a vital away goal in the first leg at Liverpool. He's been getting off enough shots and crosses recently to give him somewhat of a reliable floor, and in a scenario where Roma need to press, this is another spot where he's likely to rack up the peripherals.

Franck Ribery, BAY v. RMD ($5,000): Ribery was heavily involved in the first leg despite coming up empty handed on the scoresheet. He fired off four shots (two on goal), sent in seven crosses, drew four fouls and finished with 13.80 points. That's a bit of a stat dump, but it gives us an idea of what Ribery is capable of, and with Bayern desperate to make things happen in the second leg, there's a good chance that he's back at it again Tuesday.

DEFENDERS

Aleksandar Kolarov, ROM v. LIV ($5,800): Kolarov doled out an assist in Serie A play over the weekend, and he'll need to do more of the same versus Liverpool on Wednesday if Roma are to make a series of it. Even if he doesn't come up with an assist, he's pumped in at least six crosses in three straight UCL games and comes with a relatively safe floor given his role on set pieces.

Joshua Kimmich, BAY at RMD ($5,500)and/or David Alaba, BAY at RMD ($4,900): With Bayern needing at least two goals to give themselves a chance, both outside backs are in play as they should be joining the attack throughout the game. Kimmich scored his third Champions League goal of the season in the first leg and has delivered GPP-winning fantasy performances throughout the UCL campaign. Alaba has come through with some useful scores too and, with their backs against the wall, it's prime opportunity for both to pile up stats across the board.

GOALKEEPER

Alisson, ROM v. LIV ($4,900): Roma shocked the world by overturning a three-goal first leg deficit against Barcelona in the quarter-final, so don't rule them completely out of the semi-final just yet. If they fail to come up with a repeat performance, I like Alisson's chances to pick up the five-point win bonus in a spirited effort at home even if they don't advance.
