Stephen Leicht

Austin Hill will be racing for the Camping World Truck Series championship again in 2021, but he'll still have time for some part-time action in the Xfinity Series. Hill made nine starts for this team last season and grabbed a pair of Top-10 finishes in those efforts. He should be up for a similar slate of races in the new season. Hill will be joined by Timmy Hill, Leicht and Finchum in rounding out the team's 33-race schedule. As a collective, they grabbed three Top 10's and nine Top-20 finishes. There's a lot of good to point to, as well as a lot of bad. Inconsistency plagued this team in 2020 with 10 DNF's. The small team has the potential to do much better, but will have to find better consistency with this revolving door of drivers.

Leicht's return to full-season Xfinity Series racing had its ups-and-downs last year. He piloted the No. 01 JDM Camaro to a surprising Top-5 finish at Daytona in the mid-summer, but he also netted seven DNF's along the way. Those disappointments really hampered Leicht's consistency. Still, the veteran driver grabbed nine Top-20 finishes and rounded out the season 18th in the final driver standings. It was a good enough effort to bring Leicht back for 2020. Sponsorship still remains an issue for this race team, and that's a concern heading into the new year. If they can secure enough dollars to race Leicht should give them quality starts on the race track each weekend.

Leicht made 17 starts last season, split between three different teams. With 13 total DNF's it was mainly a start-and-park effort for the veteran driver. His 2019 plans have not been announced as of late January, and it remains to be seen if Leicht will be racing in the upcoming campaign.

The veteran driver Leicht is making a comeback after four years on the sidelines in NASCAR. He's made 76 starts in this division of NASCAR with one win and 16 Top-10 finishes to his credit. Leicht brings the experience and skill this small race team needs to race competitively. Obaika has only been in the Xfinity Series for the last two seasons, and featuring a whopping number of different drivers in their car. The stability and consistency that Leicht brings to the No. 77 team is a move in the right direction for success in a full-time schedule. However, the ability to crack the Top-20 on a consistent basis will be a challenge in this very competitive division of racing. Crew chief Carlos Contreras will hopefully be able to give him good cars and the guidance to perform well in his return to racing.

Leicht has not raced in NASCAR's top 3 divisions since 2012, and is assumed to be retired.

Leicht signed in late May 2012 with Circle Sport LLC to race in the No. 33 Chevrolet. His 2013 schedule is yet to be determined.
