The scores alone will give you an idea of how lopsided this fight was. Hill is competitive each and every time we see her in the Octagon, which made this performance all the more disappointing. It was widely assumed that Angela would hold both a striking and cardio advantage over Dern, but Mackenzie was so aggressive the entire fight that Hill was never allowed to get in any sort of rhythm. It must be noted that Angela deserves full marks for displaying plenty of toughness, as there appeared to be well over a half-dozen instances in which it appeared as if fight would end, only to see Hill somehow survive each time. Now 38 years of age, Hill is the very definition of a highly-respected professional in this sport, but she's had difficulty winning the "big" fight over the course of her career, with this being the latest example. On the bright side, she'll take home an extra $50,000 after the main event was awarded Fight of the Night honors.
