Gets new opponent
Klein will now face AJ Cunningham at UFC Vegas 87, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

To face Alvarez overseas
Klein will take on Joel Alvarez in a lightweight matchup at UFC Saudi Arabia on March 2, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Klein hasn't tasted defeat in four consecutive fights, though he's lived dangerously, with all four of those bouts getting left to the judges. He'll now take on an even hotter fighter in Alvarez, who has won five of his last six bouts -- all via stoppage. Both fighters share similar striking volume, while Klein offers a bit more offensive wrestling in his arsenal.

Pulls upset in Nashville
Klein defeated Ignacio Bahamondes via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC on ESPN 50 on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
This was simply the case of an older, more experienced veteran easily handling his less experienced opponent. Not content to allow the much longer Bahamondes pick him apart at distance, Klein consistently rushed forward to close the gap between the two. He was able to force his opponent to the mat repeatedly without much resistance, making it difficult for Bahamondes to gain any momentum in the process. Klein has been up-and-down over the course of his UFC run, but he's been money of late, unbeaten in his past four fights (3-0-1). The only negative you can say about Klein's recent performances is that all three of the wins have come via decision.

Bahamondes fight scheduled again
Klein will fight Ignacio Bahamondes in a lightweight bout at UFC Nashville on Aug. 5, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
Klein and Bahamondes were supposed to fight at UFC 277, but the latter withdrew because of visa issues. Bahamondes eventually had to wait until April to get his next fight, initially scheduled against Nikolas Motta. Though he was replaced by Trey Ogden, Bahamondes easily handled him to improve his ongoing winning streak to three.

No longer fighting Miller
Klein (undisclosed) is no longer set to face Jim Miller in a lightweight fight at a UFC event on June 3, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
It is unclear why Klein was removed from the fight against Miller. Klein will be replaced by Jared Gordon.
