Booked against Onama
FeatherweightUFC
March 13, 2024
Pearce will fight David Onama at UFC Vegas 91 on April 27, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Pearce saw his five-fight win streak come to an end in his last fight against Joanderson Brito, and he'll now look to get back in the win column versus Onama. Pearce will not have momentum on his side, but his opponent will enter the fight having fought just once in the past 12 months.

Winning streak snapped at five
FeatherweightUFC
November 18, 2023
Pearce lost to Joanderson Brito via submission (Ninja Choke) at 3:54 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Pearce is going to be furious with this result. Both men had their moments in a back-and-forth opening round, but "JSP" appeared to get the better of the action. With Brito clearly tiring, Pearce landed an easy takedown early in Round 2 and kept his opponent pinned to the mat most of the frame. Brito eventually worked his way back to his feet, and Pearce left his neck exposed. He was tapping out moments later. The loss snaps a five-fight winning streak for the Tennessee native and is his first defeat since his UFC debut against Joe Lauzon back in October 2019.
Returns against Joanderson Brito
FeatherweightUFC
October 1, 2023
Pearce (undisclosed) will take on Joanderson Brito in a featherweight matchup at UFC Vegas 82 on November 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Pearce has yet to fight in 2023 after an undisclosed issue prevented him from facing rising contender Bryce Mitchell this past spring. He'll now put his five-fight winning streak on the line against Brito, a 28-year-old wrestling riding a three-fight winning streak and averaging nearly four takedowns per fight. It's a definite step up for Pearce, who has just a 59 percent takedown defense, but also is an incredible offensive wrestler, averaging 5.74 takedowns of his own per 15 minutes. He is also a much higher-volume striker on paper and will own a four-inch height advantage (though he'll give up an inch in reach to Brito).
Not fighting Mitchell
FeatherweightUFC
April 13, 2023
Pearce will not fight Bryce Mitchell at UFC 288 on May 6, according to Garrett Kerman of The Fight Analyst.
ANALYSIS
Pearce and Mitchell were expected to compete in a featherweight fight at UFC 288. However, an undisclosed problem will prevent the former's availability on May 6. It is unclear when Pearce can return.
Will take on Mitchell in May
FeatherweightUFC
February 12, 2023
Pearce is set to face Bryce Mitchell in a featherweight fight scheduled for a May 6 UFC event, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pearce has been on a roll of late, and he enters this bout on a five-win streak following his victory over Darren Elkins via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26) at UFC on ESPN 42 back on Dec. 3. The card does not yet have a known location or venue, but it reportedly will be UFC 288. Pearce owns a 14-4-0 record for his career.
Win streak hits five
FeatherweightUFC
December 3, 2022
Pearce defeated Darren Elkins via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26) at UFC on ESPN 42 on Saturday in Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Pearce could not have looked any better. The only reason he wasn't able to earn the stoppage is because Elkins is literally one of the toughest human beings to ever walk planet Earth. Pearce did whatever he wanted on the feet, landing 154 total strikes compared to just 67 from his opponent. He connected on a pair of takedowns for good measure. Pearce was shockingly knocked out by Joe Lauzon in 93 seconds in his UFC debut in 2019, but it's been smooth sailing since. The 30-year-old Tennessee native has won five straight and looks primed to make a run at welterweight in 2023.
