Vieira will compete against Armen Petrosyan in a middleweight fight at the UFC's Feb. 10 event, according to Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com.

Vieira will take on Armen Petrosyan in a middleweight matchup at UFC Sao Paulo on November 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Vieira is looking to put together consecutive wins for the first time since entering the UFC in 2019, and he'll get to do so with a friendly Brazilian crowd behind him. Petrosyan has won three of four fights since officially entering the UFC, and all four of those matchups have gone to the judges. Petrosyan has a significant advantage in volume striking numbers, but sports a woeful 36 percent takedown defense. Effectively, takedowns and control appear to be the most likely path to victory for Vieira, who averages 3.70 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.

Vieira defeated Cody Brundage via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 1:28 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Having alternated wins and losses in his past four bouts, the Brazilian has just 11 professional fights under his belt despite his advance aged, making it unlikely a prolonged winning streak is forthcoming, but Vieira clearly has a world-class skill in his arsenal. To add to the successful evening, Vieira was also awarded a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
