Not competitive at UFC 265
BantamweightUFC
August 7, 2021
Dos Santos lost to Miles Johns via KO (punches) at 1:16 of Round 3 at UFC 265 on Saturday in Houston.
ANALYSIS
It's a minor miracle dos Santos lasted as long as he did, because this one was seemingly over from the start. Hopelessly outclassed in terms of both speed and power, dos Santos found himself eating repeated combinations from his opponent. He attempted to return fire as often as possible, but nothing seemed to land. Dos Santos is 36 years old and much better known for his ground game as opposed to his striking, so this result wasn't all that surprising. The Brazilian has shown very little since arriving on the scene in November 2018, posting a 1-3 record in his first four fights with the company.

Gets tap to snap losing streak
BantamweightUFC
November 28, 2020
Dos Santos defeated Martin Day via submission (guillotine choke) at 4:35 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 18 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Dos Santos was determined to get the takedown early and finally succeeded after working for several minutes. He didn't do much work from top position -- it was almost as if he were catching a breather -- but did a good job smothering his opponent. Day eventually did escape, but rather than separate, went for a double-leg takedown on dos Santos. From there, the jiu-jitsu practitioner was happy to go back to the mat, and clamped in a guillotine that was too tight for Day to get out of. Dos Santos improves to 1-2 under the UFC banner and is eager to get back into the cage as soon as possible.

Dos Santos and Day will be competing in late November at bantamweight, and Day will enter fight week as the betting favorite of approximately (-175).
