Font is recovering from suffering a torn ACL in his victory over Ricky Simon at UFC Fight Night last December, Farrah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.USAToday.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Font tore his ACL in the second-round but still managed to tough it out and win the bout via unanimous decision. He also suffered slight tears on both of his meniscuses. He is currently rehabbing in Las Vegas and hopes to return by the end of the year. The 32-year-old has won three of his previous four fights, including bakc-to-back wins over Sergio Pettis and Simon.

Takes decision from Ricky Simon

December 7, 2019
Font defeated Ricky Simon via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Washington D.C.
ANALYSIS
Fighting for the first time in 51 weeks, Font was able to score his second straight unanimous decision victory and earn Fight of the Night honors in the process. It didn't come easy. The Massachusetts native started slowly before finding his range in Rounds 2 and 3. Font looked like the much more comfortable striker, but he did allow Simon to land six takedown attempts. Font's career takedown defense now stands at an abysmal 30 percent and it's difficult to label him a serious contender at 135 pounds if he continues to struggle in that area. Font has quick hands and is a talented boxer so there is potential here if he can just manage to stay standing.

Font will face Ricky Simon in a bantamweight bout at UFC Washington DC on Dec. 7, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
The fight on Dec. 7 will mark Font's first action in nearly a year after his fight at UFC Greenville was called off due to a late withdrawal. Font defeated Sergio Pettis via unanimous decision in December 2018, which brought his record as a professional fighter to 16-4. Simon carries a 15-2 record over his professional career and is coming off a loss to Urijah Faber via KO (punches) in July that snapped an eight-fight win streak. Font carries slight height and reach advantages over Simon.

Font's bantamweight bout against Lineker was called off Friday after Lineker was forced to withdraw due to a cut, Ariel Helwani of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Font already needed a replacement opponent for the fight after Cody Stamann was forced to withdraw, and now his replacement, Lineker, has pulled out just a day before the fight was set to take place after suffering a severe cut. As a result, the fight will now be pulled from the card entirely.

Font will now take on John Lineker at UFC Greenville on June 22.
ANALYSIS
Stamann's withdrawal from the fight for reasons unknown coincided with the announcement of Linekar serving as the replacement, and now, Font will get an opponent in Linekar who will be taking part in his second fight in three months. Font most recently defeated former flyweight Sergio Pettis via unanimous decision back in December.

Font will take on Cody Stamann in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Greenville on June 22, Nolan King of Flocombat reports.
ANALYSIS
Font took care of business against former flyweight Sergio Pettis in his last fight, but has alternated wins and losses in his previous five bouts. He'll now take on a fighter looking to build a winning streak as well, though Font will enter with both height and reach advantages. Both men are relatively high-volume strikers, though Font owns takedown defense of just 30 percent, which could be an issue against a fighter like Stamann that converts 3.28 takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time.
