22-Year-Old Right WingRW
Detroit Red Wings
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Raymond took a bit of a step back in 2022-23 following an impressive rookie campaign, slipping from 23 goals to 17 and dropping from 57 points to 45. Still, there is plenty to like about the talented 21-year-old going into this season. Detroit made improvements to the top-six forward group with the addition of Alex DeBrincat, which should give Raymond a boost on the power play. Whether Raymond plays alongside Dylan Larkin at even strength or not, he has 50-55 point upside going into his third NHL season. Read Past Outlooks

Strong finish to season
RWDetroit Red Wings
April 17, 2024
Raymond posted an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Canadiens.
ANALYSIS
Raymond was Detroit's best player in April, as he delivered seven goals and 12 points through eight contests. Fans of the Winged Wheel were given a renewed sense of hope that their team would be playoff bound in large part to Raymond's game-tying goal against the Penguins last Thursday and his overtime tally versus the Habs on Monday, but the Capitals snuck into the postseason instead by virtue of beating the Flyers in their regular-season finale. Raymond's third season included 31 goals, 41 assists and 16 power-play points through 82 games. He will be a restricted free agent this summer.

Returns to prime power-play spot
RWDetroit Red Wings
November 4, 2023
Raymond returned to the No. 1 power-play unit in Friday's practice, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Detroit squandered five power-play opportunities in Thursday's 2-0 loss to Florida, prompting coach Derek Lalonde to tinker with the man-advantage units ahead of Saturday's home clash with the Bruins. Raymond has eight points, including one on the power play, through 11 games this season.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Not a ton went right for the Red Wings a season ago, but the play of their two star freshmen - Raymond and defenseman Moritz Seider - was a major plus. Seider ended up winning the Calder Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year, while Raymond posted 23 goals and 57 points while playing in all 82 games. The Swede displayed the ability to excel with the man advantage, finishing with 18 power-play points. While Raymond's horrific minus-32 rating is concerning, that was more the result of Detroit being a poor team than anything Raymond did himself. Raymond is a candidate for a bump in production given all the quality talent the Wings added this offseason, so don't hesitate to snatch him up in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.
