Back at practice
Zacha, who sustained a lower-body injury versus the Islanders, took part in Monday's game-day skate ahead of a clash with Toronto, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
While not confirmed, the fact that Zacha is on the ice for Monday's skate would seem to indicate he will be healthy enough to suit up versus the Maple Leafs. The 26-year-old center is currently mired in an 11-game goal drought during which he managed just 22 shots on goal and three helpers. If he doesn't play, both Morgan Geekie and Trent Frederic could be candidates for a top-six role.

Zacha never found his way over parts of six seasons with New Jersey. He finished last year with a career-high 36 points in 70 games, but along with that offensive production came a horrific minus-21 rating. The Devils finally pulled the plug, trading Zacha to Boston in July in exchange for Erik Haula. Zacha won't turn 26 years old until next April and it wouldn't be the least bit surprising to see him thrive in a lesser role for a considerably more stable Bruins team in 2022-23. Don't give up on Zacha just yet.
