SLATE PREVIEW

The Senators and Canadiens are both playing the second half of their back-to-back. The Sens are at the final stop of their three-game road trip, and this will be the Habs' first home game since Jonathan Drouin, who has eight points in nine games, and Paul Byron suffered injuries.

The Capitals have been alternating games on the road and at home, but the constant travel hasn't bothered them one bit. They've won nine of their past 11 games and one of those losses came in a shootout. The Rangers, meanwhile, have allowed the 11th-most goals and second-worst in goals against per game.

GOALIES

Keith Kinkaid ($7,400) will be the likely starter since Carey Price played last night, and with Price on pace for 70 appearances, the Habs have to be thinking about his workload. It's one of those bad goaltending matchups where Kinkaid only has to outplay Craig Anderson ($7,100), and the two teams have enough talent to make this an offensive contest.

Henrik Lundqvist ($7,600) gets the home start as usual but the Caps are definitely looking like they could be the best team in the league, losing just once in regulation since Oct. 14. With one more win, Braden Holtby ($8,900) will match his career-high of eight straight wins, which he accomplished twice during his 2015-16 Vezina-winning season. If you desperately need a contrarian reason for Lundqvist, know that he's 4-1-1 when facing 30 shots or more and 2-1-0 with a .930 Sv% when facing 40 shots or more. Older goalies sometimes like facing more shots because it helps them get into a groove more easily.

VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS

Nick Suzuki ($3,400) had the fourth-most ice time among Habs forwards last night and despite not scoring a point managed to put four shots on goal. He's playing between Joel Armia, a good finisher, and Max Domi, the team's best offensive player.

Tom Wilson ($4,900) is very underpriced; he's scored nine goals and 18 points in 23 games and maintaining a 16 percent shooting percentage, which puts him at a 32-goal pace.

Ryan Strome ($5,500) played nearly 28 minutes Saturday against the Panthers, nearly all of it with Artemi Panarin, and they scored two points apiece. Beating the Caps will be difficult, but Mika Zibanejad will not play, which means Strome will continue to see big minutes.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Both of the Caps' top lines should do well against the Rangers. In their last five meetings the Caps have scored four goals or more four times, though they were close matches. Alex Ovechkin's line costs $21,700 while Nicklas Backstrom's costs $17,900.

  Ottawa Senators (TOTAL: $13,100)

C – Logan Brown ($3,400)
W – Brady Tkachuk ($5,300)
W – Anthony Duclair ($4,400)

Duclair was dynamite with three points against Detroit, and it's a line that has skill, speed and size. Brown played just 11 minutes with D.J. Smith mixing in Colin White and Chris Tierney, but it was Brown who was the most effective.

DEFENSEMEN

Of course, you can't go wrong with John Carlson ($7,500).

Shea Weber ($6,100) is at the top of the next tier with his shooting ability, but he just doesn't score as much as Carlson and the Habs are missing key bodies up front. It does not hurt, however, when the Sens are ranked fourth in penalties taken and fifth in PIM/GP.

Thomas Chabot ($5,600) will try to do everything for the Sens and, like Weber, has a low ceiling because he can contribute in multiple categories and plays a lot of minutes.

If you want blocked shots then Jacob Trouba ($4,400) and Nikita Zaitsev ($3,600) are your guys. Trouba is 20th in the league and Zaitsev is fourth, and both teams will have a lot to handle. Trouba's premium is worthwhile because he still gets power-minutes despite not being on the top unit.
