Teeing it up in Vegas
September 30, 2019
Kaufman is in the field for this week's Shriners Hospital for Children Open.
ANALYSIS
Kaufman has not appeared in a PGA event since mid-July, but he will take the course this week in Las Vegas. Kaufman struggled last season and made just over $14,000, so he finds himself in the reorder category for the 2019-20 campaign.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
Still young, the now 25-year-old Kaufman struck success in just his fourth PGA Tour start two years ago, but he has gotten complacent with just three top-10 efforts since. Kaufman has a distance advantage on most of his peers but struggled last season from the fairway, and he has plenty of work to do to consistently compete on the PGA Tour. However, there's ample time for the youngster to develop, and with one full year of secured starts, look for Kaufman to jump over the $1 million mark this season.
Winning early in a career can be both a cursing and a blessing. A blessing for obvious reasons, the money, the acclaim, the status, but the down side is that some guys get too comfortable and lose their edge. It's too early to say that's what happened to Kaufman as he didn't fare that well after his win during the fall portion of the 2015-16 season, but on paper, it looks like he let-down. That, or the competition picked-up and he just wasn't quite up for it. Whatever the reason, he should be good to start this season as guys who rest on their laurels out here, don't last long. With that said, he's too much of a risk in salary cap leagues this season, but in drafts, he can safely be taken in the fifth or sixth round.
