Maverick McNealy
24-Year-Old Golfer
2019–20 Fantasy Outlook
McNealy made his PGA Tour debut as a bright-eyed 18-year-old back in 2014 when he qualified for the U.S. Open, and despite making 16 additional appearances since that point, he'll still be eligible for the Rookie of the Year award quest throughout the 2019-20 campaign after earning full status via the Korn Ferry Tour's Regular Season Points List. The former Stanford standout, who won the 2015 Haskins Award as the nation's top collegiate golfer, notched top-3 finishes at the LECOM Suncoast Classic and Ellie Mae Classic on the KFT in 2019. He also ranked sixth or better among his peers in both putting and birdie average. Well known for his family's fortune off the course, McNealy should be taking golf notes from girlfriend Danielle Kang of LPGA fame. Read Past Outlooks
T42 in sixth PGA Tour start this season
May 21, 2018
McNealy closed with a one-under 70 at the AT&T Byron Nelson to finish in a tie for 42nd place.
McNealy has been playing more frequently on the Tour, including finishes of T3 and T18 in his last two starts, but this was his first PGA Tour appearance since Pebble Beach in February. McNealy hit 63 percent of the greens at Trinity Forest, but at a course with the biggest greens on tour that only ranked 75th in the field. His short game seemed to be better than his ball striking, ranking 27th in SG: Around and 35th in SG: Putting. McNealy will make another PGA Tour start next week at the Fort Worth Invitational.
